Doesn’t everyone want a place to play? Before the year 2006, there wasn’t a playground that truly could accommodate all of our children in the community. If you used a wheelchair or needed assistance balancing or climbing, the playgrounds weren’t equipped for you. But the Rotary Clubs of Fargo-Moorhead decided to build a universal playground, one that could provide swings and features that did include everyone. The playground was built at Lindenwood Park with a rubber surface and colorful slides, stairs and turrets. In honor of the contribution to the community, the Fargo Park District named the picnic shelter adjacent to the playground the “Rotary Shelter.” Join us in celebrating the 10th anniversary Party May 17th!
