Rotary Ride Safe Program

The Rotary Ride Safe Program is a project to bring bicycle safety and training to more people in the Fargo-Moorhead area, especially children. Through a matching grant from the Rotary Foundation, we are able to install five bicycle repair stations in Fargo and Moorhead parks, give away free helmets with the generous partnership of AAA, and sponsor bicycle safety and maintenance workshops and awareness campaigns.

We need your help! You can sponsor the FM Rotary Ride and help us raise the $15,000 matching funds we need to launch the Rotary Ride Safe Program as soon as July 1, 2017. More inforamation on sponsorships and donations is coming soon. You can e-mail us if you would like to be alerted when that information is ready.

What is a bicycle repair station?

A bicycle repair station (pictured above) is a handy tool and air center permanently mounted outside that allows you to quickly and easily make common adjustments and repairs to your bicycle while you’re out on a ride. An all-weather air-pump and gauge let’s you fill your tires, and simple and common tools on steel cables allow you to change a tire, adjust a seat, tighten the handlebars or fix your chain. It’s one more amenity in our community that encourages safe and enjoyable cycling. Currently, there are bicycle repair stations on Concordia College, MSUM and NDSU campuses. We hope to install five more stations in Fargo and Moorhead before the end of the summer 2017.
